RALPH LANGER NAMED PRESIDENT OF B. BLUMENTHAL AND COMPANY

 NEW YORK, Dec. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective Jan. 1, 1993, Ralph Langer of Old Bethpage, N.Y., has been named president and COO of B. Blumenthal and Company, a subsidiary of the Belding Heminway Company, Inc. (NYSE: BHY), which made the announcement today.
 Mr. Langer, 58 years old, has been with B. Blumenthal and Company for 19 years and was formerly executive vice president of the B. Blumenthal division. He will be replacing Lawrence Freitag, 62 years old, of Peekskill, N.Y., who has been named chairman and CEO of the B. Blumenthal division.
