RADIUS FAMILY APPEAL LAUNCHED TO HELP THOSE IN NEED IN NORTHERN IRELAND THIS CHRISTMAS.
AN ANNUAL appeal to help families in Northern Ireland this Christmas has been launched.
The Radius Family Appeal aims to support those in need across its 12,000 properties in 80 towns in Northern Ireland.
More than 1,000 staff and tenants in Radius Housing Association schemes across Northern Ireland, as well as the public, are encouraged to donate toys and gifts for children and young people and non-perishable foods for Christmas hampers . Eileen Patterson, Director of Communities, said: "In our role as a social landlord we have become increasingly aware of the difficulties that some families living in our communities are facing, as they feel the impacts of their incomes reducing and the cost of living increasing. Christmas can be a difficult time for many families who will struggle to afford not only toys and presents, but also food.
"As we all start looking forward to Christmas and begin preparing to celebrate the festive season with our loved ones, I know that the generosity and kindness of the staff and residents of Radius will really help to make this Christmas special for so many.
"We are working in partnership with a number of established community groups such as Grove Wellbeing Centre, Bangor Food Bank, Foyle Food Bank and Rathcoole Regeneration Group to identify and distribute these toys and hampers to support families in need."
Anyone wishing to support the Radius Family Christmas Appeal can leave donations of unwrapped toys and gifts for children of all ages and non-perishable foods for Christmas hampers at any Radius Housing Regional Office by Thursday 30 November: Head Office, 38 - 52 Lisburn Road, Belfast BT9 6AA; North Down Office, 3 Redburn Square, Holywood BT18 9HZ; North West Regional Office, 7 Racecourse Road, Derry BT48 7RB; Southern Regional Office, Ballybot House, 22 Cornmarket, Newry BT35 8BG; North East Regional Office, Deerfin Fold, Wakehurst Road, Ballymena BT423LJ or at any Radius Schemes and Folds across Northern Ireland.
