 CHICAGO, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Four new faces and one of radio's


most legendary programs will join Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Guglielmo Marconi and Larry King as members of the Radio Hall of Fame in a black-tie gala celebration Nov. 15 in Chicago.
 The 1992 Radio Hall of Fame inductees are: Don Ameche, veteran pioneer radio actor, best remembered for his co-starring role in "The Bickersons;" Casey Kasem, dean of the nation's foremost syndicated music countdown shows, "Casey's Top 40" and "Casey's Countdown;" J.P. McCarthy, legendary WJR/Detroit morning personality; Leonard Goldenson, broadcast legend and ABC Radio pioneer; and The Grand Ole Opry, America's longest running live music and variety radio program.
 The honorees were selected by 465 radio executives and academicians nationwide in five categories: Pioneer, Contemporary Network/Syndicated Personalities, Regional/Local Personalities, Program and the Emerson Award for distinguished lifetime achievement.
 "The Radio Hall of Fame is proud to induct these radio greats and to host for the first time, a live induction ceremony that will be carried coast-to-coast on some of America's greatest radio stations," said Bruce DuMont, founder and president of the Museum of Broadcast Communications and chairman of the Radio Hall of Fame Steering Committee.
 ABC Radio's Paul Harvey, a 1990 Radio Hall of Fame inductee, hosts the induction ceremony at the Radio Hall of Fame in the landmark Chicago Cultural Center, where the Museum of Broadcast Communications is located. Paul Harvey Jr. of ABC Radio is a guest presenter.
 The program will be fed live via satellite, free of charge, to any and all radio stations in America. WGN Radio, Chicago, will serve as the flagship station of the Radio Hall of Fame Network. Other stations committed to carrying the historic induction ceremony include KABC/Los Angeles; KDKA/Pittsburgh; WBZ/Boston; KFBK/Sacramento, Calif.; WGY/Schenectady, N.Y.; KOA/Denver; WJR/Detroit; WMAL/Washington; and WSM/Nashville.
 Originally founded by the Emerson Radio Corp. in 1988, to honor past and present pioneers in the radio industry, the Radio Hall of Fame was established at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in September 1991. Additional Hall of Fame members include Fred Allen, Edgar Bergen, Tommy Dorsey, Arthur Godfrey, Dick Clark, Kay Kyser, Don McNeill, Groucho Marx, Orson Welles and many other broadcasting greats.
