RADIO CONSULTING RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCED BY THE GALLUP ORGANIZATION AND VALLIE CONSULTING; FIRST-EVER IN RADIO INDUSTRY

PRINCETON, N.J., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- James K. Clifton, president and chief executive officer of the Gallup Organization, announced today a partnership with the radio programming consultancy Vallie Consulting, Inc. The announcement marks the first-ever such partnership between a research organization and consulting firm.
According to Clifton the partnership was formed with the goal of "developing a one-resource availability for the broadcast industry. This approach combining advanced radio research technology with creative radio consulting will deliver actionable recommendations to meet the challenges of an industry known for change." Clifton continued, "Vallie Consulting's reputation as strategic planners and innovative thinkers made the one-shop positioning possible."
Dan Vallie, president of Vallie Consulting, added, "Historically, a radio station hires a consultant who then free-lances out the research. This system presents problems concerning the quality of deliverables to the station. The partnership with Gallup eliminates this free-lance approach and assures the station of not only reliable research, but the guarantee of important marketing discoveries."
The new partnership, Vallie/Gallup, will be based in the Washington area. John Irwin, most recently with Irwin Media, Group W, NBC and Capitol Broadcasting, has joined the group as vice president of operations.
The Gallup Organization is the world's largest public opinion and management research firm with headquarters in Princeton.
Vallie Consulting operates as a radio programming consultant with clients throughout the United States as well as several international- based broadcast operations.
