RADIO CITY SIGNS SUPERSTAR MICHAEL JACKSON FOR SUPER BOWL XXVII HALFTIME SPECTACULAR; NFL & JACKSON TO REACH WORLDWIDE AUDIENCE OF ONE BILLION
 NEW YORK, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Radio City Music Hall Productions and the National Football League today announced an unprecedented partnership between the biggest name in entertainment and the biggest worldwide television event -- MICHAEL JACKSON & THE SUPER BOWL. Michael Jackson, the undisputed "King of Pop," will appear live during the Super Bowl XXVII Halftime Show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Sunday, Jan. 31. Broadcast live in the United States by NBC, the show is expected to reach a worldwide audience of one billion viewers in more than 70 nations, and promises to be one of the most highly viewed and emotionally charged international television events in history.
 This unparalleled Halftime Show will combine Jackson's inimitable style with his new anthem, "Heal The World"....sending a powerful message promoting peace, racial harmony and hope for our children....from the NFL and Michael Jackson to the entire world. The performance will also support Jackson's Heal The World Foundation, an international charity created by the artist to support the world's children. "I can't think of a better way to spread the message of world peace than by working with the NFL and by being a part of Super Bowl XXVII," said Jackson.

"The Halftime performance presents a unique opportunity for both the NFL and Michael Jackson to send a message of hope and encouragement to people around the world, including the citizens of the Los Angeles area where the game will be played."
 "This is the ultimate marriage of sports and entertainment," added Arlen Kantarian, Radio City's executive vp of marketing and special events who originated the halftime partnership. "The show is based on a simple concept....12 minutes of 'must see' entertainment by the world's greatest superstar during the world's biggest television event. While final details are currently being developed, you can bet that Michael's performance will bend the rules of traditional Halftime shows." Kantarian and Scott Sanders, executive vp of entertainment for Radio City, will serve as executive producers of the Halftime show. "Imagine what's going to happen when we give Michael Jackson 100 yards of gridiron as his stage....this has never been done and is sure to be explosive," added Sanders.
 Radio City has previously worked with the NFL on a number of projects, including the Super Bowl XXII Halftime Show in 1988, an award winning production featuring 88 grand pianos and the world famous Rockettes. Most recently, Radio City produced "Super Bowl Saturday Night," the NFL's first, prime time entertainment TV special. Radio City Music Hall Productions, a subsidiary of the Rockefeller Group, is a worldwide production company offering entertainment production and event marketing opportunities in the areas of concerts, theatricals, television, special events, corporate events, and sponsorship.
