RADIATION SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF ANGHEL LABORATORIES, INC., ACQUISITION AND PROMOTION

 STERLING, Va., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Radiation Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: RADS), today announced it had acquired Anghel Laboratories, Inc., a manufacturer of specialized microwave components. A Memorandum of Understanding for the acquisition had previously been announced on Sept. 16, 1992.
 Anghel, located in Rockaway, N.J., designs and manufactures a line of high quality products including satellite frequency converters, microwave components and integrated assemblies used in communications, navigation, radar and missile guidance systems. As finalized, the acquisition was for $3.0 million. In addition, certain key employees will participate in a six-year incentive plan.
 Anghel, which employs 56 people, will operate as Radiation Systems, Inc., Anghel Laboratories Division. Revenue is anticipated to be in excess of $6.0 million and the acquisition is antidilutive. Sever Anghel, founder of the company, has been appointed president of the Anghel Laboratories Division and Marvin Shoemake, president of Radiation Systems Inc., SatCom Technologies Division, has been promoted to the position of corporate group vice president with managerial responsibility for Anghel Laboratories and SatCom Technologies.
 Richard E. Thomas, chairman and president of Radiation Systems, Inc., said the acquisition and appointments continue the process of vertically integrating our company as a provider of turnkey communication systems to customers worldwide. Thomas said that the Anghel product line complements both the satellite communication and the radar/navigation markets of Radiation Systems.
 Radiation Systems, Inc. designs, manufactures and installs a broad range of antenna turnkey systems and components for radar, air traffic control, tactical military, satellite communications, terrestrial microwave and other specialized uses throughout the world.
