RADIATION SYSTEMS, INC., REPORTS CONTRACT AWARDS

 STERLING, Va., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Radiation Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: RADS), today announced that its SatCom Technologies Division in Duluth, Ga., and its recently acquired Anghel Laboratories Division in Rockaway, N.J., have been awarded contracts totaling approximately $10 million for a new product line of commercial off-the- shelf multiband satellite transportable earth stations for use by U.S. and foreign Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The new products combine the SatCom Division's transportable earth stations, which have won wide acceptance among users, with a new line of multiband converters manufactured by Anghel Laboratories Division. The contracts will be performed over a maximum of three years and approximately $3 million is currently funded.
 Richard E. Thomas, president and chief executive officer, stated that he is pleased with the current new contracts but even more excited about the future contract opportunities for these products. Thomas said that these systems provide the customer with the capability of operating with both military and commercial satellite systems from a single economical, highly transportable terminal.
