RADIATION SYSTEMS, INC., ANNOUNCES CONTRACTS TOTALING $11.5 MILLION

 STERLING, Va., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Radiation Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: RADS), announced today that its Technical Products Division in Sterling and its Electromechanical Systems Division in Largo, Fla., has been awarded a contract by Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) with a total value of more than $8.9 million. The contract calls for Radiation Systems to provide the ground antenna systems and spare parts for the low data rate EHF Milstar Program. This program will be performed over a 30-month period.
 Additionally, Radiation Systems has received two other contracts. Its newest acquisition, Anghel Laboratories Division in Rockaway, N.J., has received a contract valued at approximately $1.35 million, from Allied Signal's Bendix Communications Division for high power RF switches for the Patriot Defense Missile System. The company's Mexia Fabricators Division in Mexia, Texas, received a contract from Norden Systems for approximately $1.3 million. It will provide steel towers and installation service for the Airport Surface Detection Equipment Program (ASDE-3).
 Radiation Systems' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard E. Thomas said: "The long-awaited Milstar contract shows the company's ability to utilize the combined technical expertise of its divisions to provide the customer with a cost competitive, vertically integrated antenna system. This is not only true of the Milstar Program, but is also true for the Ground Based Radar Program announced May 18, 1993, and other major programs currently in production and in the bid process."
 Radiation Systems, Inc., designs, manufactures and installs a broad range of antenna turnkey systems and components for radar, air traffic control, tactical military, satellite communications, terrestrial microwave and broadcast and other specialized uses throughout the world.
