 RADA ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES REPORTS RESULTS
HERZLIYA PITUACH, Israel, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Rada Electronic

Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ: RADIF) announced today that during the six months ended June 30, 1992 it achieved record revenues of $15,400,000, compared to $12,630,000 in 1991, an increase of 22 percent. Revenues for the three months ended June 30, 1992 rose to $8,380,000 - a 32 percent increase over revenues of $6,350,000 in the 1991 period.
The company's continuing marketing and development efforts to increase its participation in the international commercial aviation and foreign military markets resulted in a loss of $290,000 for the six month period ended June 30, 1992, compared to net income of $406,000 in the corresponding period in 1991, and a loss of $311,000 for the three months ended June 30, 1992, compared with net income of $226,000 in the 1991 period. These efforts however were recently rewarded with the receipt of a $2.8 million order for its Commercial Aviation Test Station (CATS) from a European-based international airline. This new order strengthens Rada's presence in the broad commercial aviation market. Based on its recent success in the sale of CATS systems and market feedback, management believes it is justified to continue the expenditures for marketing, development and software enhancement of the CATS systems and believes that this product will result in improved financial results in 1993. In July, the company also received new orders for its commercial sector through its Amsterdam-based ADAR Active Technologies B.V. subsidiary.
Examples of the company's recent efforts to expand its international presence includes its selection for the "Best and Final" bidding phase of a U.S. Navy project. The project, if awarded to the company, should generate revenues of approximately $30 million in the next three to four years. The company is also participating in a program being conducted by several Russian aerospace entities and a Western financial company. The project relates to the adaptation of Russian amphibian plane for civilian use. If selected, Rada will supply an on-board diagnostic tester as well as portable and laboratory-level CATS testers. The development phase for this project is estimated to have a value of $3 million with significant additional revenues for the production phase.
Rada, an Israeli based corporation with subsidiaries in the U.S. and Europe, is engaged in the design, development and manufacture of computers, avionic equipment and automated test equipment and in the distribution and sale of electronic components.
