RADA ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIES AND ELBIT COMPUTERS ANNOUNCE AGREEMENT
HERZLIYA PITUACH, Israel, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Rada Electronic Industries Limited (NASDAQ-NMS: RADIF) and Elbit Computers Ltd. (NASDAQ-NMS: ELBTF) today announced a cooperation agreement for the development of a debriefing systems for combat aircraft.
Elbit and Rada have entered into a cooperation agreement for the development of a demonstration unit of an air combat debriefing system. The ACE system -- Autonomous Combat Maneuver Evaluation -- is an operational system installed aboard a combat aircraft which enables the reconstruction of a sortie, including flight routes, the operation of an aircraft's weapon and EW systems, as well as the pilot's activity during the flight. The combat mission is reconstructed both in a sophisticated work station and in a video system which enables the integration of the visual record of the flight with the spatial location of the aircraft function.
The ACE system replaces a cumbersome system which is currently being used by airforces throughout the world. The current system has a limited use since it only allows for the reconstruction of flights above a fixed training range where antennas and expensive equipment are installed. The new system is simple and low priced, and enables the full debriefing of any group of pilots immediately after their landing, independent of any expensive fixed site installations.
Rada's management is very pleased with the agreement which permits the continuation of cooperative efforts between the two companies.
Rada, an Israeli based corporation with subsidiaries in the United States and Europe, is engaged in the design, development and manufacture of computers, avionic equipment and automated test equipment and in the distribution and sale of electronic components.
