RADA ANNOUNCES ITS RESULTS WILL REFLECT RECORD REVENUES
HERZLIYA PITUACH, Israel, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- RADA Electronic

Industries Limited (NASDAQ: RADIF) today announced that the company's audited results, when released later this spring, will reflect record revenues of approximately $28,700,000 and net income of approximately $205,000. In the 1990 fiscal year RADA had revenues of $24,501,000 and net income of $1,002,000.
The company substantially increased its marketing activities in 1991 in connection with its entry into the commercial aviation market with its new automated test equipment known as CATS. The company has continued its CATS marketing efforts in 1992, including its participation in a major air show in Singapore and at the Avionic Maintenance Conference in Vancouver, B.C., which has resulted in several new business opportunities.
The 17.5 percent increase in revenues in 1991 reflects a 43 percent growth in sales by RADA's commercial sector and a slight increase in the revenues of its industry sector. The commercial sector's growth was principally attributable to the activities of its Dutch subsidiary, ADAR Active Technologies B.V. In 1991 the commercial sector accounted for approximately 44 percent of RADA's total revenues as compared to 36.3 percent of its revenues in 1990.
The company's disappointing operating results in 1991 were attributable in part to the costs associated with the CATS program, competitive pressures which resulted in lower than expected selling prices for one particular item of its military equipment, and softness in certain of the operations of the commercial sector.
In 1991 and the first quarter of 1992 the company strengthened its financial resources with private placement of securities for approximately $3.5 million and convertible debt of approximately $2.4 million.
RADA, an Israeli based corporation with subsidiaries in the United States and Europe, is engaged in the design, development and manufacture of computers, avionic equipment and automated test equipment and in distribution and sale of electronic components.
