RACE ACE GIVES TRACK THE BIRD; FORMULA E RACING.

FURIOUS Sam Bird believes a crumbling track cost him the Formula E championship lead.
The Brit (above) was in second place with four laps to go during the Mexico E-Prix - enough to see him top the overall standings.
But while defending his position from Antonio Felix da Costa, Bird locked up on the newly-installed turn three and slammed his Envision Virgin car into the wall, ending his race.
Bird said: "The track is breaking up. "It caught me out. Two people went off in the closing stages because of it.
"I can't have been doing much wrong because I was in P2, but is it acceptable for tracks to break up?" Bird dropped to sixth in the standings after four races, with New Zealand's Mitch Evans taking the championship lead with his win.
Londoner Alexander Sims is back up to second after charging from 19th on the grid to fifth at the finish line.
