R.R. DONNELLEY REALIGNS GROUP MANAGEMENT

 CHICAGO, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company (NYSE: DNY), the world's largest commercial printer, has named John A. Capstick group president, global accounts, a new position; John S. "Jack" Oberhill group president, Europe, a new position; E. Patrick Duffy group president, Telecommunications Group; Jonathan P. Ward group president, Catalog Group; and Rhonda MacQueen, director, Financial Printing Services Group.
 Capstick, 53, had been president of the International Group since 1989. He was managing director and chairman of R.R. Donnelley's subsidiary, Ben Johnson and Company Ltd., prior to that company's acquisition by R.R. Donnelley in 1978.
 Oberhill, 51, had been president of the Telecommunications Group since 1991. He joined R.R. Donnelley in 1966 as an engineer and held manufacturing management positions before being named president of the Magazine Group in 1988.
 Duffy, 50, became group president of the Catalog Group in 1991. He joined R.R. Donnelley as a senior vice president in 1990 when it acquired Meredith/Burda, where he had been senior vice president of marketing. He joined Meredith/Burda in 1969 as a production analyst and served as a sales representative before assuming managerial responsibilities.
 Ward, 38, had been group president of the Financial Printing Services Group since 1991. After joining R.R. Donnelley in 1977 as an engineer, he later held sales and manufacturing management positions in both the Catalog and Financial Printing Services groups.
 MacQueen, 40, was named senior vice president of U.S. manufacturing of the Financial Printing Services Group in 1991. Since joining R.R. Donnelley in 1976 as a customer service representative in the Lancaster, Pa., Manufacturing Division, she has held a number of manufacturing management positions.
