R.R. DONNELLEY AND HEARST SUBSIDIARY FORM JOINT VENTURE

 CHICAGO, April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company, (NYSE: DNY) the world's largest commercial printer, has formed a joint venture with Communications Data Services, Inc. (CDS), a Des Moines, Iowa-based subsidiary of The Hearst Corporation. The joint-venture company, called Donnelley Hearst Holdings, has purchased Tower Publishing Services, a magazine fulfillment company in Market Harborough, England. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
 Through its purchase of Tower, Donnelley Hearst Holdings will expand magazine fulfillment in the United Kingdom. Tower has eight years of experience in magazine fulfillment in the United Kingdom and currently fulfills more than 150 publications.
 CDS currently fulfills more than 350 publications and services more than 75 million subscribers in the United States and Canada. CDS also provides services to the direct marketing, product fulfillment, fund raising and related industries in the United States.
 R.R. Donnelley is the world's largest printer of magazines, catalogs, newspaper advertising inserts, books, directories, financial printing and computer documentation. Headquartered in Chicago since 1864, the company employs more than 32,000 persons and operates facilities in more than 140 locations in North America, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.
