R.R. DONNELLEY ACQUIRES MANUFACTURING ASSETS OF CENTRAL POINT SOFTWARE

 CHICAGO, Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- R.R. Donnelley Norwest, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of R.R. Donnelley and Sons Company (NYSE: DNY), today announced it has acquired the in-house manufacturing assets of Central Point Software, Beaverton, Ore. Housed in a 50,000-square-foot facility, these manufacturing assets consist largely of diskette replication, assembly and distribution systems. R.R. Donnelley will integrate the operation into its Documentation Services Group's advanced manufacturing network and will operate the module as a satellite of its R.R. Donnelley Norwest subsidiary's Portland manufacturing facility.
 R.R. Donnelley will produce the majority of Central Point's software documentation on a worldwide basis and will offer significant capacity for servicing the software manufacturing, packaging and distribution requirements of third-party publishers.
