R.P. SCHERER TERMINATES ACQUISITION DISCUSSIONS TROY, Mich., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- R.P. Scherer Corporation
(NYSE: SHR) announced today that its previously reported discussions to acquire a pharmaceutical and health and nutritional products-related company have been terminated. The negotiations had been the subject of a news release on Sept. 20, 1991.
R.P. Scherer Corporation, a leading international developer and manufacturer of drug delivery systems, is the world's largest producer of soft gelatin capsules ("softgels").
