 PICKERINGTON, Ohio, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- R.G. Barry Corporation


(AMEX: RGB) shareholders elected three directors to serve for terms of three years each at the footwear firm's annual meeting held today.
 Those elected were: Edward M. Stan, 67, president, Edward M. Stan & Associates Companies, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Stan has been a director of the company continuously since 1971.
 Richard L. Burrell, 59, senior vice president - finance, R.G. Barry Corporation and a director of the company continuously since 1984.
 Philip G. Barach, 61, chairman of the board, U.S. Shoe Corporation, Cincinnati. Barach was appointed to the board in August 1991 to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of a former director.
 Shareholders' also ratified the selection of KPMG Peat Marwick as independent public accountants for the company for 1992.
 William W. Ellis, 66, partner, Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, Attorneys at Law, Columbus, Ohio resigned as a director for health reasons effective May 12, 1992. Ellis was a director of the company continuously since 1976. No replacement will be named. The Board of Directors is being reduced from 10 directors to 9 directors as a result of the Ellis resignation.
