R&R ADVERTISING AND THE PBN COMPANY LAUNCH NEW WASHINGTON OFFICE

WASHINGTON, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- R&R Advertising of Nevada and Utah and The PBN Company of California, the leading marketing and public affairs firms in their respective states, today announced the opening of a new jointly owned and operated Washington office.
Paul Nathanson, formerly vice president of the Washington-based Center for Democracy, has been named managing director of the new venture.
R&R Advertising and The PBN Company established a formal business alliance as a full-service communications entity earlier this year creating one of the largest marketing, advertising and communications groups in the West, with combined annual billings in excess of $45 million and a full-time staff of 125.
"The establishment of a full-service presence in the nation's capital is a natural outgrowth of the R&R/PBN alliance," said William Vassiliadis, R&R Advertising's president. "The office enhances our ability to service our growing number of clients who have strong interests in political and governmental developments inside the Beltway."
The PBN Company is ranked the number one regional public affairs firm in the western United States by inside PR, the industry's leading trade journal. The PBN Company's president and founder, Peter B. Necarsulmer, said: "We are very excited about the tremendous opportunities that a permanent presence in the District creates for our clients who increasingly need on-site communications and public affairs services. Our expertise and extensive bipartisan contacts combined with Paul Nathanson's reputation and R&R/PBN's strong client base ensure the success of this new venture," he added.
Nathanson said R&R/PBN's Washington office has already been busy servicing clients such as the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Authority, various petroleum interests, one of the country's largest blood banks, and a national coalition of medical and consumer groups.
The R&R/PBN office is centrally located at 1801 K St. N.W., Suite 1200, Washington (telephone: 202-466-6210, fax: 202-466-6205).
R&R Advertising is based in Las Vegas with offices in Reno, Nev., and Salt Lake City. Founded in 1974, R&R specializes in advertising, marketing and public relations services for a variety of industries, including travel and tourism, gaming, health care, real estate, public utilities and finance. Major clients of the firm include the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Authority national and international advertising account, Bally's, Nevada Power, Rocky Mountain Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Kerr McGee Corporation, Caesars Tahoe, and Sierra Pacific Resources, among others.
The PBN Company is headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Sacramento, Calif., Los Angeles, and Moscow. With a full-time Moscow staff of nine, it is the only accredited independent public relations firm operating in the former Soviet Union.
