R&B, INC. PROJECTS RECORD YEAR

 COLMAR, Pa., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- R&B, Inc. (NASDAQ: RBIN) today announced that net sales for 1993 are expected to reach a record of approximately $62 million, up approximately 30 percent over the $47,448,084 recorded in 1992.
 Net income for the year ending Dec. 25, 1993, is projected in the range of $4,287,000 to $4,494,000, an increase of 21 percent to 27 percent over income of $3,530,582 reported last year. On a per-share basis, management said it anticipates earnings in the range of $.62 to $.65, subject to the usual year-end adjustments (based on a weighted average of 6,914,518 shares). In 1992, R&B reported net income of $.53 per share (based on a weighted average of 6,675,117 shares).
 R&B, Inc. is a leading supplier of "hard-to-find" parts for the automotive aftermarket, a market segment it helped to establish. "Hard- to-find" parts are those which were traditionally available to consumers only from original-equipment manufacturers or junk yards. The company designs and markets more than 15,000 automotive and marine aftermarket replacement parts, which are manufactured to its specifications, including more than 1,300 "hard-to-find" parts. R&B's parts are marketed under more than 30 proprietary brand names, including Help!(R) and Mighty Lift!(R), as well as under the private labels of automobile manufacturers, parts manufacturers and national warehouse distributors.
