Quip cuts the cost of international calling.

Online telephone company Quip has introduced new, lower international call charges for UK-based mobile phone users.

To take advantage of the reduced international rates, users do not need to change their network provider but must first register with Quip at Then, before making an international call users dial Quip's local rate 0845 number and enter their account number to connect to the service. Users will be charged for the local call rate by their network provider plus the Quip international call rate for the relevant country.

Quip claims that by using the service mobile phone users can benefit from international rates up to 80% cheaper than those charged by the network providers.
