KLM Royal Dutch Airlines on Thursday announced it has selected Quintiq for an advanced pilot transition, vacation and simulator planning system.

The new system is intended to replace the current legacy systems that are no longer compliant with the KLM IT standards.

The new Quintiq system is designed to allow KLM to optimise the planning for pilot transition, vacation and simulator planning respecting all rules and constraints. The new system is also expected to integrate the simulator capacity planning with the manpower planning system and allow multiple users to work on the same plan at the same time, improving efficiency.
