Quick on draw.

CHILDREN and grown-ups across the North East are sharpening their pencils in anticipation of The Big Draw.

The annual celebration of art and drawing takes place across the UK during October, and more than 13 events are to be held in County Durham.

The events are taking place at venues including museums, art galleries, town halls, castles and schools.

And the activities range from creating goblins and fairies at Consett Park to drawing your favourite place at Lord Lawson of Beamish School, in Birtley.

All Big Draw Durham events are listed online at www.campaignfordrawing.org
