Quetta Incident: LHC staff, lower courts' judges urged for donations.

LAHORE -- Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah has urged the LHC staff, judges and staff of sub ordinate judiciary to make donations for financial assistance of the families of the Quetta blast victims.

In a circular issued by the LHC additional registrar, it was stated that chief justice and judges were of the view that entire staff of the court might voluntarily donate Rs 1,000 each within seven days for the financial assistance of the bereaved families.

All additional registrars and private secretaries had been asked to collect donations from the officers and staff and deposit the same with court treasury officer.

Another circular issued regarding donation by the judges and staff of sub ordinate judiciary also specifies amount of donation.

It said that district and sessions judges can voluntarily contribute minimum Rs 5,000 each, additional district and sessions judges Rs 3,000 each, senior civil judges Rs 2,000 each, civil judges Rs 1,500 each and the staff Rs 500 each.
