Quest Software Extends J2EE Performance Management to Oracle Application Server 10g.

IRVINE, Calif. -- New Support Provides Complete-Lifecycle Application Management for Growing Oracle Application Server Market

Quest Software Inc. (Nasdaq:QSFT), a leading provider of application, database and Windows management solutions, today announced the availability of Quest's application management solutions for the Oracle Application Server 10g J2EE platform. Enterprises using Oracle's newest J2EE application server platform can now manage J2EE application performance across the lifecycle, from development through testing and into production.

"We are very pleased that Quest Software has extended its application management solutions to support Oracle Application Server 10g," said John Gawkowski, vice president of business development, server technologies, Oracle Corp. "Oracle Application Server 10g is a high-performance, cost-effective J2EE application platform suite and partners like Quest Software provide important complementary solutions for real-world use of Oracle Application Server 10g for enterprises."

Quest solutions for managing custom Web applications enable IT teams - including developers, QA personnel and application administrators - to detect, diagnose and resolve performance problems in any stage of development, testing and production. Quest application management solutions for the J2EE platform improve productivity, quality and efficiency by isolating performance problems early in the development cycle and when they appear in production. By combining powerful, domain-centric tools such as Quest Foglight(R), Quest PerformaSure(TM) and Quest JProbe(R), customers can identify issues across the application stack and down to the line-of-code level.

"J2EE performance management solutions that provide deep platform-specific expertise can substantially increase the productivity of the application development team," said Cameron Haight, research vice president, Gartner Inc. "Companies investing in these platforms should consider suites that facilitate the easy collaboration of IT team members to ensure their applications meet their timelines and performance goals."

"We are pleased to offer our market-leading J2EE application management solution for enterprises that choose Oracle Application Server 10g," said Larry Humphries, vice president of product management, application and database management solutions, Quest Software. "Quest's application management solution couples business-centric views across an entire distributed J2EE application with deep diagnostic toolkits for each technical domain, enabling IT staff to detect and resolve performance issues more quickly than is possible with individual point products."
