Quest Boosts Oracle Data Set Building.

Newport Beach California-based Quest Software Inc yesterday announced Data Manager, an automated data set compiler for what it claims will enable Oracle database administrators (DBAs) and developers to build test databases ten times faster than before. Quest says that Data Manager will help ensure that projects are released on schedule by eliminating the time-consuming process of manually scripting complex data extractions and mapping the correlation between tables. By testing with a true representation of the production database, Data Manager improves application accuracy without the expense of cloning the entire production system, the company said. Data Manager is available now, with prices starting at $3,000 per server.
