Quentin Willson's motoring column: A RARER ROVER..

ROVER has given its MGF a shot in the arm with a limited-edition SE model.

Available only in Wedgwood Blue, the generously-equipped SE has chrome mesh grilles, colour-coded rear spoiler, black leather trim, retro aluminium centre console and 16-inch alloys.

Power is from the standard 120bhp 1.8i petrol engine or 145bhp 1.8i variable valve timing version, with a choice of five-speed manual or three-speed Steptronic auto transmission.

Five hundred cars will be built for the UK market only, with prices starting at pounds 18,270 and rising to pounds 20,495.
