Queen is game for kilts fun.

The Queen joined the crowds at the Braemar Gathering yesterday.

She is patron of the Highland Games event, which takes place every year near the royals' summer residence, Balmoral.

The Queen hosted Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his girlfriend Carrie Symonds on Friday night.

But the PM didn't join her at the Games, having cut short an anticipated weekend visit to return to Downing Street.

However, the Queen was joined by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall to watch the event at Braemar's Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park.

Spectators watched events including tossing the caber, hammer throwing and tug of war.
