QuadraMed Corporation (NASDAQ: QDHC), a provider of information technology solutions for healthcare enterprises, declared yesterday (22 September) that it has implemented its Pharmacy Integrated Medication Management (IMM) in Ashtabula County Medical Centre (ACMC), Ohio.
A wireless, point-of-care medication, the pharmacy automation and medication management module of QuadraMed provides scans and allows nurses to verify a patient's identity, validate medications against active orders and perform medication administration documentation online. The IMM solution enables medication management from order entry to medication administration. Nursing and pharmacy staff has access to the same patient status records and clinical information instantly, streamlining workflow.
ACMC is licensed for 249 beds, is an affiliate of Cleveland Clinic and is a private, nonprofit hospital. Special programs at ACMC include occupational medicine, skilled nursing, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, pain management and a new catheterisation laboratory. The ACMC Healthcare System includes Ashtabula Regional Home Health Services, the ACMC Foundation, Glenbeigh and The Ashtabula Clinic.
