Quackers go on the lam.
A BELFAST brickie has told how he witnessed a great escape - by ducks.Pat Kane rescued 12 ducklings walking up the side of a busy road in the west of the city, inches from their death.
"I couldn't believe my eyes. I went into the house I was working on and got the owner out to confirm it wasn't just my imagination," he said.
Pat used a large sheet of wood to direct the little birdies into a bucket.
"It reminded me of the great prison breakout in the Maze because the things were running about all over the place.
"Except this time it was the Suffolk 12 that made a bid for freedom."
The baby ducks are now back in the nearby Half Moon Lake in the Lenadoon Estate.
