Qabalan, Japanese Ambassador tackle developments.

NNA - Islamic Senior Shiite Council Deputy Head, Abdul Emir Qabalan, on Monday tackled most recent developments at the local and regional scenes with Japanese Ambassador to Lebanon, Seiichi Otsuka. Qabalan warmly welcomed his visitor and stressed the paramount importance of bolstering Japanese-Lebanese ties in a way that benefits both countries best. "Lebanon is a country of peace and it's keen on boosting national coexistence among its components. Lebanon has been looking forward to international support and an active move in support of peace and stability in the region. Our country has been endeavouring to remain a linking point between the eastern and the western worlds," he added. Qabalan went on to blame Israel for all the calamites that have been rocking the Middle East region. He stepped up calls on all concerned sides to pressure Israel to acknowledge the right of Palestinians' return to their homeland. ===============R.H.
