QUORTECH ACQUIRES NORTEL NETWORKS' MILLENIUM BUSINESS ASSETS.

Gores Technology Group (GTG), Los Angeles, Calif., an international technology acquisition and management company, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, QuorTech Solutions, has acquired certain assets of Nortel Networks' Millennium business unit.

QuorTech Solutions will become the leading provider of next-generation public communications and network system management services, and has acquired a substantial base in 12 countries. North American customers include major Canadian operators, many of the U.S.-based Bell operating companies and other major international carriers. QuorTech Solutions will offer full public access solutions that include advanced payphones, public access terminals, network management systems, technical support and management services.
