QUICKTURN SYSTEMS STAFFS PARIS OFFICE

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Quickturn Systems, Inc., a leader in IC and ASIC emulation systems, has opened a new office in Paris. This follows the opening of a U.K. subsidiary, Quickturn Systems U.K. Ltd., and a Munich office, both established in October 1992.
The new office is fully staffed by a sales manager and a complete technical support staff. The staff reports to Michael Northwood, general manager of European operations for Quickturn Systems. The address of the new office is Immeuble Adagio -- Rue des Trois Fontanot, 20, Esplanade Charles de Gaulle, 92000 Nanterre, France. Telephone: 33-1-69-79-41.
Mr. Northwood commented, "We are right on target with our ramp up of European operations. We now have three sales/support offices located in the strategic areas of London, Munich, and Paris. We believe that we must have strong local account managers and application engineering support, and have built our European team with this in mind.
"Customer response in Europe is very positive to our new Enterprise Emulation System(TM). Within the past two months we have sold Enterprise Emulation Systems to four major European manufacturers and are actively pursuing several additional opportunities."
Michael D'Amour, Quickturn Systems executive vice president of international sales, added, "Our customers worldwide have demonstrated the value of our emulation systems by bringing the world's most complex system and IC products to market in record time. The Enterprise System has been shipping in the U.S. and Japan, and now Europe has also begun to recognize Quickturn's emulation technology as an integral part of VHDL system development."
Quickturn Systems, Inc. is the pioneer of computer-aided prototyping and developer of the first reprogrammable IC and ASIC emulation system. Quickturn's emulation systems enable design verification for systems using ASICs and full-custom chips, thereby reducing project risk, lowing development costs, and shortening time to market.
Quickturn Systems is headquartered at 325 E. Middlefield Road, Mountain View, Calif., 94043. Telephone 415-967-3300. Sales offices are located throughout the U.S. and Europe; sales in Japan are handled through a local distributor.
