QUICKLOGIC AND LATTICE TERMINATE MERGER DISCUSSIONS

 SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- QuickLogic Corp. today announced that merger discussions announced by Lattice Semiconductor on Sept. 22 have ended. QuickLogic will remain an independent supplier of very-high speed field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
 QuickLogic and Lattice concurred that a merged company would not be beneficial to customers or employees. No further details of this decision were released.
 According to David Laws, president of QuickLogic Corp., "QuickLogic and Lattice terminated negotiations because we believe the merger was not in the best interests of our two companies."
