QUICK 'Q'-UESTION: WHAT'S WITH ALL THE Qs IN ATLANTA?

ATLANTA, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- By now, you may have noticed literally hundreds of new Qs appearing around Atlanta. Qs on billboards, in newspapers and on TV. What's will all the Qs?
It's simple. Q Lube, the quick lube subsidiary of Quaker State, is coming to town, and they're making sure everyone knows it. The "teaser" campaign launched on Jan. 3.
The campaign is designed to focus consumer attention on the launch of the Q Lube brand. With 264 billboards around town, an equally aggressive radio, TV and newspaper schedule and a consumer "Spot the Q" contest with a new Nissan Altima XE as first prize, it's going to be hard for consumers to miss their "Qs."
A total of 27 Atlanta-area Q Lube quick oil change centers are involved in the launch. For two weeks, billboards around town will reveal a football stadium crowd shot with a section of people holding up cards forming a giant "Q."
Two weeks later, radio ads will ask listeners if they have "spotted the Q." Then, on Jan. 31, the billboards will be altered to reveal additional people holding cards spelling out "Q LUBE."
Anyone spotting the billboards will be invited to stop by any of the Atlanta-area Q Lube centers, where they may enter the "Spot the Q Giveaway." Entrants will then have a chance at winning a 1994 Nissan Altima XE as the grand prize or one of 10 second prize "weekend getaways" for two. Contest details are available at all area Q Lube centers.
The campaign will culminate Feb. 26 on WTBS Channel 17 during the Hawks basketball game with an exciting lottery-style 60-second television commercial announcing the grand prize winner.
