Alcast Co., Peoria, Illinois, achieved its QS 9000:1998 requirement registration. The company is a permanent and semipermanent mold foundry.

The Greenwood, South Carolina-based foundry of Grede Foundries, Inc., Milwaukee, received its ISO 14001 certification. The company specializes in gray and ductile iron and steel castings.

Five manufacturing facilities of Hayes Lemmerz International, Inc., Northville, Michigan, received ISO 14001 registration. They are: North American Cast Aluminum Wheels, Howell, Michigan; North American Suspension Components, Southfield, Michigan; North American Powertrain Components, Wabash, Indiana; North American Powertrain Components, Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; and European Cast Aluminum Wheels, Barcelona, Spain. The manufacturing group supplies wheels, brakes, powertrain, suspension and other components.

Talladega Machinery & Supply Co., Inc., (TMS), Talledega, Alabama, received ISO 9001 certification. TMS includes Talledega Castings and Machine Co., Inc., a steel foundry.

Capital Resin Corp., Columbus, Ohio, received registration of its quality management system to the ISO 9001 standard for the design and manufacture of chemical intermediates, resins and catalysts.
