QUALCOM/LINKTOP SIGN MODEM CARD/MODULE LICENSE PACT.

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM), San Diego, Calif. a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies, products and services, and Linktop Technology Co., Ltd., a company specialized in developing and manufacturing communication terminal products in China, has announced that they have entered into a subscriber unit and modem card/module license agreement (including PCB assemblies). Under the terms of the royalty bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted Linktop a worldwide patent license to develop, manufacture and sell subscriber units and modem cards/modules implementing the CDMA2000(R) standard. The royalties payable by Linktop are at Qualcomm's standard worldwide rates.

"This agreement with Linktop enables yet another Chinese company to meet the growing and diverse needs of its domestic and international customers by offering a wide range of high- speed, innovative products."
