 QUAKER STATE BOARD ELECTS RAYMOND A. ROSS, JR., A DIRECTOR
 OIL CITY, Pa., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Raymond A. Ross, Jr., of Miami, Fla., has been elected to the board of directors of Quaker State Corporation (NYSE: KSF).
 Ross is owner of Ross Management, an investor-developer of shopping centers and other commercial real estate properties in Florida. From 1965 to 1983, he was president and principal owner of The Ross Corporation. Known as Ross Oil, the company was the south Florida distributor for all motor oils and accessory products of Quaker State Oil Refining Corporation. Ross Oil also marketed other brands of motor oil and lubricants, as well as many lines of national brand automotive accessories.
 Ross is a 1957 graduate of the University of Florida and resides in Miami with his wife, Jan. He is a retired captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and a licensed pilot. Ross is a member of the board of trustees of Baptist Hospital of Miami and has been a member of the Orange Bowl Committee since 1985.
