QFC EXPANDS REAL ESTATE DEPARTMENT BELLEVUE, Wash., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Quality Food Centers Inc.
(QFC) (NASDAQ: QFCI) today announced that its Real Estate Department has been expanded with the addition of Len Psyk. He will join Pete Ferren who established the function five years ago.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Psyk began his career in real estate and development with Coldwell Banker in 1972. In addition, he previously operated his own real estate development company, was a real estate manager for Albertson's grocery stores, and was vice president of Real Estate for Pay'n Save Drug Stores. He previously served as state director for the International Council of Shopping Centers, and currently serves as a board member for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. QFC is the largest independent supermarket chain in the Seattle/Puget Sound area -- an economically strong and growing region of Washington state. QFC has served this dynamic area for 37 years and today operates 32 stores.
