QFC CHOOSES EVANS/KRAFT AS ITS AD AGENCY
SEATTLE, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The following was released today

by Evans/Kraft Inc.:
Quality Food Centers (QFC) (NASDAQ: QFCI) today assigned its advertising account to Seattle-based Evans/Kraft, according to Dan Kourkoumelis, QFC president and chief operating officer.
"Evans/Kraft is a very creative and complete shop full of highly experienced people," said Kourkoumelis.
QFC is a publicly traded grocery chain with 1991 sales of $395 million. Based in Bellevue, Wash., QFC is the largest independent supermarket chain in the Seattle/King County area and today operates 30 stores. It recently announced plans to acquire two stores in Snohomish County currently operating under the Haggen Foods name.
The QFC account comes amidst a burst of news for the agency, which signed the Tree Top account last week and acquired Ehrig & Associates on Wednesday.
Evans/Kraft will provide QFC with a full range of marketing, creative and media services, according to Evans/Kraft President Lon LaFlamme. The grocery chain joins a long list of retailers represented by the firm, including Starbucks, Ben Bridge, Eagle Hardware, Western Optical and Eddie Bauer.
Evans/Kraft Inc. is among the largest advertising agencies in the Northwest, with annual billings now estimated at $83 million. It is a division of Salt Lake City-based Evans Communications Inc., a $220-million agency with offices in eight Western markets.
