QFC ANNOUNCES NEW STORE LOCATION BELLEVUE, Wash., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Quality Food Centers Inc.
(QFC) (NASDAQ: QFCI) today announced that it has entered into a lease for a new store location in King County, Wash.
The new store will be constructed in the Midway area at the intersection of Pacific Highway South and the Kent-Des Moines Road, which is approximately three miles south of Sea-Tac International Airport. QFC expects to open the store, which will be approximately 33,000 square feet, in early 1993. Completion of the store is subject to certain conditions, which include obtaining necessary permits and licenses. The Midway location will bring QFC's store count to 36, after the completion of the recently announced acquisition of the two Haggen Food stores in Lynnwood, Wash., and the construction of the previously announced Harbour Pointe, Federal Way and Fairwood stores. QFC is the largest independent supermarket chain in Seattle/King County. QFC has served this growing area for 36 years and today has 30 stores in operation. In operating its stores, QFC's first priority is satisfying customers' needs by emphasizing superior service, high- quality perishables and convenient store locations. -0- 2/5/92 /CONTACT: Marc Evanger of QFC, 206-455-3761/ (QFCI) CO: Quality Food Centers Inc.
