QCVA volunteers celebrate Garangao.

DOHA QATAR Center for Voluntary Activity (QCVA) organised two Garangao events on Thursday and Saturday.

The events were part of the cultural activities during the holy month of Ramadan.

The first ceremony was held on Thursday, by Young Volunteer Team and Fazaa, in cooperation with Qatar Cancer Association and Sudanese expatriates. The second ceremony was organised by the Young Volunteer Team in the Rumailah Hospital on Saturday.

During the events, the QCVA provided tissue bags, edible nuts and seeds to children.

The Young Volunteer Team also performed popular songs to create a festive atmosphere. Garangao presents were given to patients suffering from cancer and those admitted in the Rumailah Hospital.

QCVA General Secretary Youssef al Kazim said that the Center started its preparation for this event some time ago and was happy with the outcome.

On this special occasion, Kazim praised the role played by children and the Center's volunteers.
