QCP to be acquired by GAF.
GAF, North America's largest roofing manufacturer, has agreed to acquire Quest Construction Products (QCP), a division of Quest Specialty Chemicals. The transaction, expected to close as soon as practical subject to customary closing conditions, reflects GAF's commitment to growth and to maintaining excellent brands in commercial roofing and other markets. The acquisition of QCP--North America's largest supplier of fluid-applied roofing systems and coating solutions--will allow GAF to offer strategic building owners a broader range of solutions.
In a joint statement, both companies said: "Our companies share a joint commitment to innovation and high levels of quality and customer service. This acquisition enhances both companies' ability to deliver on those commitments. We now have the enhanced scale, geographic footprint and resources necessary to further differentiate ourselves in the marketplace --and add even greater benefits to our valued customers.
"Both QCP and GAF appreciate the unique skills and technical excellence necessary to install fluid-applied roofing systems, coating solutions, and pavement coatings. GAF, which has made significant investments in recent years to grow its commercial platform, is committed to upholding the top product quality and high contractor standards that QCP has set for the HydroStop, United Coatings, and StreetBond brands in the marketplace. Both of us look forward to building upon the excellent relationship that has been forged between you and QCP. We know that the future will serve to strengthen our partnership as we work to create more value for our customers."
