Q I'D like to take my husband on a break to France's vineyards to mark him turning 50 next summer. Any ideas?

A For Provencal charm and lashings of rose try L'Hostellerie de l'Abbaye de la Celle, see website abbaye-celle.com.

This ten-room boutique hotel lies in the heart of the vineyards of Coteaux Varois and is next to a 12th-century Benedictine abbey.

It is owned by the chef Alain Ducasse, so expect Michelin-starred gourmet feasts. Staff there can organise vineyard visits.

There is also a wine shop opposite the hotel that stocks 90 roses. Double rooms start at PS212 a night, B&B. The closest airport is Marseille, an hour's drive away.
