Put on your "Wine Goggles". (Wise & Otherwise).

Ever wonder why members of the opposite sex (or same sex, for that matter) seem more attractive after you've had a few drinks? So did researchers in Scotland, who tested the "beer goggle effect" on 80 Glasgow University students. Participants in the study were shown color photos of 120 male and female students and asked to rate their attractiveness on a scale of 1 to 7. Half of the students had drunk the equivalent of two pints of beer or 2.5 glasses of wine, while the unlucky half abstained. As it turned out, the drinkers found the faces of the opposite sex 25% more attractive than their sober counterparts did. Why? The professor who led the study said it's because alcohol stimulates the part of the brain that's used to determine facial attractiveness. And to think we've been wasting our time trying to improve our looks with hygiene products and makeup when we could have just handed out drinks instead.
