Pushy methods.

A CHARITY collector came round our house the other day representing the Air Ambulance.

He inquired of my wife whether she would take out a direct debit committing us to regular monthly donations. No chance to think about it first or talk it through with me - just sign on the dotted line.

My wife declined, and rightly so. I'm sorry to have to moan about such a worthy cause but if there is anything she and I want in return when we donate to charity it is the pleasure one gets from giving because one has chosen to give.

It saddens me that the Air Ambulance feels the need to resort to such pushy methods.
