Push Pull Cardio Kicks Off Campaign to Help Kids with Cancer.
Push Pull Cardio provides an affordable way for families to achieve healthy lifestyles while raising awareness about childhood cancer, an affliction that claimed the life of the 6-year-old daughter of PPC's founder, Alan Ashley. As the U.S. becomes one of the most obese countries in the world, with cancer being the number one disease to claim the lives of children, Push Pull Cardio's goal is to reverse these trends through community fitness and nutrition.
Currently operating as an outdoor fitness boot camp, Push Pull Cardio aims to raise $30,000 to open a full-service fitness studio servicing the Alhambra and surrounding communities. In homage to his daughter, Ashley is committed to donating 20% of all proceeds to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital as a partner in hope toward finding cures for life-threatening diseases in children around the world.
The new online crowdfunding campaign creates an opportunity for the community to get involved and to ensure its success. Visit http://igg.me/at/pushpullcardio for more information on how to join the group in fitness and in making a difference.
"The pain of losing a daughter is immeasurable, and now I want to help prevent other parents from having to endure the same pain I felt," said Ashley. "As a trainer, I find that people fail to reach and maintain healthy lifestyles due to a lack of knowledge and accountability. We work closely with the community to improve self-efficacy and ensure proper fitness and nutrition."
