Pupils get creative.

Pupils get creative CITY secondary pupils are urged to enter the Scottish School Media Awards.

The best of the entries will be revealed at a ceremony in Edinburgh in June.

The awards aim to encourage young people into careers in publishing and the creative industries and are of particular interest to pupils who have an interest in writing, photography, design and business.

All Scottish secondary schools have been invited to submit creative award entries for a range of categories, from outstanding features to the most exceptional finished magazine or newspaper.

Pupils have until April 30 to submit their entries.

David McIntosh, Managing Director of Menzies Distribution, said: "As a country, we have produced many talented individuals over the years and I'm sure the next generation will be equally capable, so we are all looking forward to seeing many strong entries over the coming months."
