Punk rockers in city - almost a year late.

AMERICAN punk rockers Alkaline Trio make their first visit to Coventry tomorrow - after postponing last year's show due to a freak accident.

Front man Matt Skiba was sitting on his motorbike at traffic lights when a seven tonne lorry ran over his foot.

The Chicago three piece had to cancel their entire 20th anniversary tour - including a show at the Kasbah club in Coventry in November.

Despite his rock n' roll record of unusual injuries, singer Skiba has low key plans in mind for Coventry.

"I heard Coventry has a great motor museum so I am looking forward to visiting that," he said.

Tickets to see Alkaline Trio at the Kasbah are on sale from the venue and and cost pounds 16.50.
