Punitive Damages and Business Torts.

The American Bar Association (Chicago, IL) has published Punitive Damages and Business Torts, a paperbound volume. The book attempts to explain the historical background and evolving relationship between antitrust treble damages and punitive damages as it developed through case law and recent legislation. It includes editorial on claims for which punitive damages are recoverable and the standards for imposing punitive damages liability. It covers: determining damages; state requirements on bifurcation; standards for post-trial and appellate review; and, computing awards and payments. It also includes case studies and state-by-state charts. The volume costs $89.
