SUNDERLAND v STOKE TOMORROW, KO:8PM SKY SPORTS 1

TONY PULIS will head into crunch talks with chairman Peter Coates this summer - and tell the Stoke chief that he wants to stay.

Speculation has been mounting since Christmas that Pulis' time as Potters boss could be up.

But as he prepared for tomorrow night's trip to Sunderland, the Welshman admitted that although mistakes had been made, he still has unfinished business at the Britannia Stadium.

Pulis said: "I still think that there is work to be done here.

"There is an enormous amount going on, the club is still developing.

"You can't stop people talking and can't stop mischief.

"But there has been nothing from within the club that suggests anything other than they are happy for me to continue.

"I will sit down with Peter and have a good chat with him. There are certain aspects that Sunderland Draw Stoke you look back on and think that you could have dealt with better.

"But that's for me to discuss with the powers that be - to learn from one or two mistakes."

Stoke were knocked out of the League Cup by Paolo Di Canio's League One Swindon at the start of the season, so Pulis has already seen the knee-sliding celebration routine from the new Black Cats boss.

Pulis insisted: "It's not a problem. He is from a different culture, a different country and they have different ways of showing their emotions.

"But, yes, I will be delighted if he is not sliding past me on his knees on Monday night!"
